Adventures in History

In September, 2016, in conjunction with the Mancos Valley Library, Bill Jamerson presented hilarious stories, foot tapping songs, and a short video on the Dollar-A-Day Boys, otherwise known as the Civilian Conservation Corps.

Some of the other activities in 2016 included our annual Spring Yard Sale, a Turkey Shoot in November, and a Christmas Social at the Bauer House.

Activities in 2017 have included an Easter Ham Shoot, our annual Spring Yard Sale at the home of Mac Neely, a Little Black Dress evening at the Bauer House, Ghost Rides at Mancos Days, a Mancos Valley version of the Antique Road Show at the Community Center, and a Chuckwagon Dinner at the home of Linda & Eldon Simmons. Proceeds from these activities have been deposited in our Museum Fund, which now has over $4,000.
